Baffler No. 1. Lay a dollar bill on the table. Upon it set a glass of water. Challenge anyone to remove the bill without touching the glass, that is, without touching the glass with anything!
Secret: The trick is done with the dollar bill itself. Start rolling the dollar bill from the near end, forming it into a compact cylinder. Continue rolling the dollar bill and avoid touching the glass with your fingers. The tightened bill will then push the glass ahead off the dollar!
Baffler No. 2. Place a dime on the table (must have a tablecloth on table). Invert a glass over it. Challenge anyone to remove the dime without touching the glass.
Secret: Take two half dollars and put them under the edges of the glass on opposite sides, then scratch the tablecloth in front of the glass and the dime will creep out!
Another one (Johnny Ould) Place any coin on the table. Invert a glass over it. Challenge anyone to remove the coin without touching the glass.
Secret: If you pound your fist on the table, close to, but not touching the glass, it will cause vibrations and cause the glass to sort of jump around and eventually bounce over the top of the coin which you can then pick up without having touched the glass!

THROUGH THE RING Show a finger ring and a large coin. "Try and push the coin through the ring (which must be smaller than the coin)." Yes, it's possible!
Secret: Simply put your finger THROUGH THE RING and PUSH the coin across the table.
You have just "pushed the coin... through the ring"!
SUPERPERSON Can you take one full sheet of the daily paper and fold it in half eight times? TRY IT!
Chances are slim because of the doubled and redoubled thicknesses of the paper.
MATHEMAGICAL Ask a friend to select between 1 and 16 cards secretly from your pack. Tell him that you have in your hand, as many cards as he has, plus two more, and enough left over to make a total of 17 in his pile!
Secret: No matter how many cards your friend takes, you are always right because you make sure you have 19 cards in your pile. TRY IT!
INSTANT CARD LOCATION Find any chosen card instantly after it's return to the pack. First... SECRETLY have all red cards arranged in the top half and all the black cards arranged in the bottom half of the pack. Have a card selected and if one from the top 'red' group, have it returned into the lower 'black' group, or vice versa. The pack can now be cut, but not shuffled, any number of times.
To find the chosen card, simply look through the pack for the card that is 'out of place'!
SEEING THROUGH SOLIDS Take a tube of paper, about 1" diameter, and hold it to your right eye. With the other hand, hold an object such as a playing card, against (not flat, but up to) the left side of the tube. Keeping both eyes open, one looking throught the tube and the other looking at the face of the card, an odd illusion will result. It will appear as if you are looking right through a 'hole' in the center of the card. Use your left hand instead of the card and it will appear to have a hole in it!
